The Chalet Getaway is perfect for families, with 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and two separate living rooms. We also provide plenty of entertainment options to keep everyone happy and busy! Here, you’ll find Gigabyte speed WiFi, TVs with Amazon Prime Video, Chromecast, Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube TV, as well as a great selection of board games. LIVING SPACES Picture the scene: it’s late afternoon at the Chalet Getaway. You’ve just returned from a day on the slopes of Shanty Creek, boating on Torch Lake, hiking at the Grass River Natural Area, or hitting the links at one of the 10+ area golf courses. Now, it’s time to relax, pour yourself a drink, and nibble on a snack as you wind down from the day. That’s easy to do in our two spacious, yet cozy, living rooms. Upstairs, you’ll definitely want to cozy up on one of the two plush sofas or two armchairs, all in soothing neutral colors. The gas fireplace lends a homey, rustic ambiance. One of the most popular attractions in this room, however, is the 55" HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Chromecast, Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube TV. Sounds like a big bowl of popcorn made in a stainless steel pot may be in order! Down the spiral staircase is a second full living room. An almost exact replica of the upstairs, your crew will enjoy plenty of comfortable seating, a second gas fireplace, and a big HDTV. There are endless opportunities here. The kids’ haven? The man cave? The girls’ getaway? Or maybe all of the above at different times during your stay! KITCHEN AND DINING Who enjoys cooking? Everyone will in this fully-equipped and updated kitchen. With a beautifully upscale rustic vibe, this space features stainless steel appliances, and an unusual, Short's Brewery backsplash and ode to the former owner and head brewer at Short's, a well know brewery and fantastic restaurant in Bellaire. Enjoy lovely views of the outside greenery from a double window. The adjacent dining room accommodates 8 around a classic wood table. BEDROOMS AND BATHS All four bedrooms offer heavy log-cabin furnishings, with nightstands and lamps. Upstairs is one queen bedroom and a full bath with a walk-in tiled shower and frameless door. Downstairs are two queen bedrooms and one bedroom with a double and twin bed. The downstairs bath offers charming tin accents and a walk-in shower. OUTDOOR AMENITIES A fire pit offers languid nights, telling jokes and ghost stories while feasting on hot dogs, marshmallows, and s’mores. Be sure to enjoy your coffee or a meal al fresco, sitting at the dining table in the front of the chalet. Guests will enjoy convenient access with our smart locks. For easy and secure entry, a unique access code will be provided to you prior to your arrival. This code ensures that only you and your party have access to the property during your stay. Throughout your stay at Chalet Getaway, your host will be readily accessible via the Airbnb app messaging system. It’s all about water here, as residents and guests alike participate in the favorite summer activities of swimming, boating, fishing, and beachcombing. Take a scenic drive on Michigan’s back roads as the leaves pop in color during the fall. Winter brings our famous skiing, snowboarding and tubing at Shanty’s Creek. Cross-country skiers are welcomed at Grass River National Area and Glacial Hills Pathway. Spring time is about hitting the trails, the links, and watching the flowers bloom! Most of our guests arrive by car. Parking is in the driveway. Chalet Getaway House Rules and Additional Disclosures: 1. No Smoking or Vaping: To protect the health and comfort of all guests, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited both inside the cabin and on the property. 2. No Illegal Drugs: The use of illegal drugs on the premises is strictly forbidden. 3. Firearms and Fireworks: For the safety of all guests and to ensure a tranquil environment, firearms and fireworks are not allowed on the property. 4. Occupancy Limit: The property accommodates a maximum of 8 guests at any time. 5. No Pets: Pets are not allowed. Additional Disclosures: 1. Video Surveillance: For security, there are active, recorded video cameras installed at the exterior driveway, garage overlooking the driveway, and outdoor space of the chalet. 2. Noise Monitoring: A decibel monitoring device is in place to ensure compliance with local noise regulations and to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. This device only measures noise levels. Penalty for Rule Violation: A violation of any of these rules will result in a $500 fine. This policy is strictly enforced to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. Adherence to these rules and awareness of the additional disclosures contribute to a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience for all guests at Chalet Getaway.

Great property, exactly as described and shown in photos. Along with the VRBO across the street (another 4 bedroom unit) this worked out perfect for 8 golfers allowing each guy to have his own bedroom in the ideal location to play any of the Shanty Creek courses along with Aa-Ga-Ming (which is a scenic 40 minute drive around Torch Lake) in a very private 'up north' wooded setting. Highly recommended

Stayed over Labor Day with my husband and two kids. There was plenty of space for all, the beds were incredibly cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with what I needed for cooking in. We loved the Dyson air purifiers in the bedrooms - they were fantastic for white noise. The massage chair was a very happy surprise. We had a bonfire a couple of nights in a row and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna space. JT was super responsive and there is SO MUCH to do in Bellaire and the surrounding areas.
